We’ve raised close to $50,000 in the past four years with our signature fundraiser, Wish Upon a Card.  We’re asking for donations of fabric postcards for a juried show and silent auction.  Selected cards are custom framed, compliments of our sponsor High Desert Gallery.  Cards not selected for framing will also be sold and the proceeds from the sale & silent auction will be donated to Wendy’s Wish Foundation, www.wendyswish.org.  Wendy’s Wish was envisioned by Central Oregon quilter Wendy Huntley prior to her death from cancer in 2006.  The Foundation provides funding for cancer support services to those who are unable to afford them.

Postcards should be 4” x 6”. To be considered for silent auction, cards must be received by April 1, 2011. Please include your name and address and mail to:

Some things never change – the mountains, the pines, our love of  quilting! The scene in this year’s raffle quilt could be from an airing of the quilts 100 years ago, 50 years ago or the 2010 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show. “Timeless” was designed by June Jaeger of Log Cabin Quiltworks in Prineville, Oregon. Jackie Erickson from the Stitchin’ Post coordinated the project and members of the East of the Cascades Quilters took on the piecing as one of their many contributions to the show. Proceeds from the annual raffle quilt support the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, a non-profit organization benefiting the schools and community of Sisters and Central Oregon. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Tickets can be purchased with the Order Form. The winning ticket WAS drawn at 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 10th, Quilt Show day, at the Stitchin’ Post. You need not be present to win the quilt.

Please send ticket requests to:
Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show/TIX
P.O. Box 280, Sisters, OR  97759

We appreciate stickers with your name & phone number for ticket orders of $10.00 or more.

To order over the internet with your credit card, please click here.

The 2010 Raffle Quilt has gone to a new home, but you can get a pattern for “Timeless” and a kit for the center panel is on sale at the Stitchin’ Post or visit www.stitchinpost.com

Starting in 2010, 25% from the proceeds of our raffle quilt ticket sales will be donated to a local non-profit organization.  Part of our mission is to benefit the community groups of Sisters and this year we are partnering with Kiwanis Club of Sisters in this effort.  Their volunteers will join ours in selling tickets from January to July and we’re thrilled to have such a win-win relationship.   Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show is proud to announce a donation of $2,103 to Kiwanis of Sisters in support of their community services to our residents in need.

The Oregon Quilt Project (OQP) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to documenting, collecting, and preserving information about the quilts and quilt makers of Oregon, past and present. Starting in 2010, the multi-year, statewide documentation survey will travel to all parts of Oregon, documenting quilts and their stories.

Documentation Days began in Sisters, Oregon, in April, 2010 and continued in June and July.  volunteers and organizers will be back in Sisters for the 2011 show.  To document more quilts and educate the public about the importance of maintaining historical records of our work.  All quilt owners are encouraged to have their quilts documented during this project.  OQP will document quilts made in Oregon, quilts brought to Oregon, and quilts of any age, condition, or style - even unfinished tops. The survey will include quilts made as bed coverings and for display, but will not include wearable art or other fiber arts.  For more information, visit the Oregon Quilt Project website.
