2017 Featured Quilter – Tamra Dumolt

dumolt-tamra-featuredquiler-2017Each year we honor one of our talented Central Oregon quilters as Featured Quilter, paying tribute to a quilter who has body of work that keeps growing in quality and creativity.

Our 2017 Featured Quilter is Tamra Dumolt of Sisters, Oregon.

Inspired by a visit to the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in the early 1990’s, Tamra got bit by the quilting bug.  She took her first class in 2000 enjoying the precision techniques of cutting and piecing to match seams and create perfect points. She is a self-described addict, a charm pack junkie and a fabric hoarder.  She began working at The Stitchin’ Post, taking classes from masters of the quilting world.  She began teaching there in 2010 describing it as her favorite thing about quilting:  connecting quilters to one another through creativity.

Tamra states, “I can’t imagine how different my life might be if I had not attended the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show as a visitor nearly 25 years ago!”
