When and where is the Show held?

Throughout downtown Sisters, outdoors – always on the second Saturday of July. Note that quilts are displayed throughout town– an area about 6 blocks long and 4 blocks wide.

Where and when do I deliver my quilt?

The 2018 Event Office location will be announced by June 1, 2018.

How do I find a quilt at the show?

There are Quilt Directories at the Information Booth behind the Stitchin’ Post (on Oak St. between Cascade Ave. and Hood Ave.) and at the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce (on the corner of Main and Spruce Streets).

How do I buy a quilt at the show?

Most “For Sale” quilts are concentrated in the Town Square area of town between Cascade Ave. and Hood Street, and between Elm and Fir Streets. There are some quilts for sale in special exhibits throughout the show as well.
Remove the green price tag, and take it to the Sales Office at 220 S. Ash St. Ste #4 by 5:00pm on Show Day, July 14 to purchase your quilt.

What does it cost to come to the show?

Nothing! The show is and always has been free. Your donation or membership  helps support SOQS, a  nonprofit organization that produces these fiber arts events and activities.

Can anybody enter a quilt in the Show?

Yes – we are one of the rare and few  non-judged and non-juried show. We welcome all quilts from first quilts to art quilts on a first come, first served basis until the show is filled.

What does it cost to enter a quilt in the Show?

$20 per person to enter up to 10 quilts in our show.

Are Quilts For Sale during the show? How do I buy a quilt?

Many of the quilts in the show are for sale.   Quilts that are for sale have a brightly colored tag on them.  Remove it and take it to the Quilt Show Sales Office located in the log cabin building on the corner of Hood Ave. & Ash Street.  You can find the Sales Office location on the map in our event show guide. NOTE: You cannot take the quilt down from display after purchase. Quilt(s) you purchased may be picked up Sunday-Wed at the Event Office, or you may arrange to have them shipped to you.  Complete details will be provided to you and arrangements made at the time of purchase.  The Sales Office is open from 9am – 5pm.  You may pay with credit or debit card, or cash.

What is Quilters Affair?

A week of classes hosted by the Stitchin’ Post.

What is the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show SUNDAY! event?

The Sunday after Quilt Show Day features an exhibit, walking tours, and a world-renowned guest lecturer at FivePine Lodge and Conference Center in a tranquil setting. Be certain to also take in the quilts hanging outside The Stitchin’ Post downtown.

How do I find lodging during the Show?

Check with our Chamber of Commerce or visit our Accommodations and Directions page for links to other lodging resources in the area.

Who are the Friends of the Show?

They are individuals who make donations to support the show or purchase a membership – with great benefits! Memberships can be also purchased on Show Day at the Friends of the Show booth behind the Stitchin’ Post.

Can I take photos for inspiration at the show?

Absolutely – we only ask, in honor of the quiltmakers and artists, that you not use them for any commercial purpose.

How do I get on your mailing list?

You can join from our homepage or send us an email at info@soqs.org and ask to be on our mailing list. Please include your first and last name.

How can I volunteer to help out?

Where can I park during the show?

Just about anywhere in town.  Parking on the shoulder of Hwy 20, east of Sisters is not permitted.  All of our downtown streets are open to street parking. Please don’t block alley’s or driveways. We have a shuttle from our high school that runs all day long. Just follow the signs for “Shuttle Parking” when you get to town.

What about traffic?

Pack your patience!  Getting 12,000 people in and out of Sisters does cause some traffic back ups. See our traffic maps at Accommodations tab.

 

Are outside vendors allowed to participate?

We do not host a vendor area at our show.

Where can I purchase SOQS merchandise?

At the Stitchin’ Post, 311 W. Cascade or on their website.

 

What is the Around the Block Quilt Walk?

The Quilt Walk is a month-long display of over 100 quilts in show sponsoring businesses during July.

Are wheel chairs allowed/available for rent?

Totally allowed, but unfortunately we don’t have a vendor who rents them here in town. You may search for such vendors in Bend, OR.

Is there Handicapped Parking?

Yes! Its designated in two parking lots on the east end of town. Check the show guide map or follow the signs when you get to town.

Is there a bus shuttle service from Redmond/Bend?

Sorry – not at this time.

Where is the nearest airport?

That would be Redmond – about 30 minute drive from Sisters
