Cheryl is a fused glass enamel artist and has been working with glass in many forms for over 30 years. Cheryl has been enameling on glass since 2007 using high fire opaque glass enamels.
Most of Cheryl’s work is done using a reverse process and takes multiple stages of painting and firing. You are viewing the final image through the glass that it was painted on. Each piece starts with an original drawing and will go through as many as five kiln firings before it is finished.
Cheryl’s paintings reflect her love for animals and nature with a twist of whimsy. She is inspired by the local landscape as well as animals including dogs, cats, foxes, hares, fish and birds.
